I saw the 3DS eShop video with Iwata and Miyamoto doing a demo inside the Louvre, I wished I could be there; visiting the Louvre is one of things I wish to experience in my lifetime.
One of the things that I felt playing this game(almost finished), and I believe anyone who gets the chance to play it will arrive at a similar conclusion, and that's the game is as polished as humanely possible in almost every way. I don't know how Nintendo may top this game's level of quality in the future, but if I have to bet, I'll likely bet on them doing that with their next big game.
I would add Deus EX: DC, NFS: Most Wanted U and Injustice: Gods Among Us (NSMBs and ZombiU were released in 2012 I think that's why they didn't make the list). On the other hand, the eShop have seen many excellent downloadable titles that really surprised me.
@Sanquine90 I didn't mention"why" Zelda is better I wanted to say that I see similarities in both games and that's a good thing for Ys, I said that Zelda is Better because I know the oversensitive nature of many frequenters of this website and somebody might jump on me and say "how dare you compare so & so" but I guess I didn't take into account the reverse oversensitivity.
I have a release day vita and the limited edition of this game is p...
@PlayGamesNotConsoles,
I know that Zelda is better and I said that clearly and I do agree that Ys needs more exposure in the west on 3DS and home consoles.
@leahcim,
Ys is more likened to Zelda whether you like it or not, I agree with you that Ys is faster paced it also focuses more on combat than puzzles while Zelda have more focus on puzzle and exploration, but both are dungeon action adventure with rpg elements.
Could it be the return of 1080' Snowboarding in some other form, I loved that game, I believe it was directed by Masamichi Abe if I remember correctly.
I love this series. always has great gameplay, although Zelda is vastly better, I find it a good alternative to zelda series when you want that delicious gameplay.
Apart from the how extremely good this game is, the soundtrack is really phenomenal, it's already up there with the best I've heard in a game.
Reply to the main point, don't call me what others called you before.
Good news for my 3DS.
The 3DS has become a haven for Japanese developers, smaller houses that produce the rare and beloved Jrpg and that's a good thing for them as well as Nintendo especially to counteract the 3DS neglect that the western publishers have displayed and is one part of their neglect toward Nintendo who doesn't shower them in money to get their support.
The fact that the big western publishers do not support 3DS despite its HUGE installed base, ...
And your last bubble is dying soon it seems.
Sorry, double post.
ooohh, you can't remove comments you make by mistake!!
Some of his acting roles.
Miyamoto is assuming the role of supervisor/overseer on Big Nintendo projects, his role has more of an advisory status than actual full day involvement that requires much physical and mental effort. University Professors do this all the time, hell, even The Undertaker of WWE appears almost exclusively once a year in Wrestlemania despite being active in the locker room and behind the scenes. Speaking of Taker, please young VG bloggers don't let this arrogant article inspire you to make mor...
The speed by which this article was approved is unbelievable, typical for n4g anti-Nintendo directives.
Nintendo keeps making excellent games and innovative, durable and affordable hardware, be it a home console or handheld, while the other companies drown the fanboys in hype and 3rd parties in money over repetitive generic games and more DLC and fail to maintain high level of quality in their own games despite their short lifespan; after all the hype and hate have settled, N...
Nah, the games you mentioned are generic garbage, they were dead before they even got released, but to each their own I guess.
Play it yourself, you will definitely like it.
Exceedingly rarely have I played games that justify a 10/10 scores bestowed upon them by reviewers, games that achieve perfection without depending on excessive gore or controversy, neither on celebrity voice acting or movie quality mo-cap cutscenes, just fun, pure, unadulterated fun. This game is among those select few that completely deserve a perfect score, it's that good and then some, I hope everyone who is remotely interested in VGs gets the chance to play this masterpiece.
This is the new generation of gamers for you, fighting over sales instead of playing games. All of a sudden everyone has corporate tools like Pachter as their idol. Kids those days!
A review already!! But it seems excellent stuff as I anticipated.
